BBC4 Fabric Of Britain – Knitting’s Golden Age

Tonight is the night we unite as crafters, switch over our televisions to BBC4 and watch a three part series about knitting and how it rose as a popular hobby throughout the 20th century.

I can wait for this viewing it starts on BBC4 at 9pm so either get recording or get out your favourite desert and craft project and watch all about knitting through the war era and meeting people like Susan Crawford who still knits and designs vintage.

The episode tonight explores the world of sexy knitted swimwear and vintage models putting the garments to the test under swimming conditions.

All in all great viewing for the evening for us lovely ladies.

This show was awesome! Wish they’d gone a bit more into the last 20-25 years though. Loved the swimsuit 🙂

    • It was a great show and really enjoyed it! I personally loved hearing about the older knitting traditions. Even the fact it included metting such a great designer as Kaffe Fassett.
It was very exciting, I would love to see more about knitting on TV.
